ProSight Named Official Insurance Partner of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers
ProSight Specialty Insurance today announced it has partnered with the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) and has been designated as its official insurance partner for 2013 and 2014. AICP was founded in 1972 by a small group of television commercial production companies, and today its members account for 85 percent of all domestic commercials aired nationally, whether produced for traditional broadcast channels or non-traditional use such as film and online. ProSight is looking forward to a fruitful relationship with AICP, and are confident that this will be a positive partnership for both organizations.
Yvonne T Cordova, Senior Vice President – Entertainment Programs, said, “When most people think of the entertainment industry, feature films and television programs are the first thing that comes to mind. In fact, advertising is a multi-billion dollar industry, and while it may lack the ‘glitz and glamour’ of Hollywood blockbusters, commercials on various media – including film, video, and digital – play a critical role in the media ecosystem. And just like their counterparts in movies and TV, production companies that specialize in commercials often face complex insurance issues that require deep expertise to minimize risk and ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget.”
Matt Miller, President and CEO, AICP said, “We’re thrilled to have ProSight Specialty Insurance on board as AICP’s official insurance partner, and we look forward to building joint initiatives with ProSight with the goal of educating and engaging AICP members in ongoing discussions about entertainment insurance and risk management best practices.”
